Kuajok: In a recent social media post, Peter Mayen, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, voiced his concerns regarding the accommodation arrangements made by the Warrap Government for his wife, Deputy Governor Aluel Garang Garang.
Mayen’s Facebook post reflected his discontentment with the decision to house Aluel Garang in a hotel in Kuajok, especially since she is a native of the area and possesses a residence in Ajiep-Kuajok. He stated,
“Don’t like the way Warrap Government is keeping Hon. Deputy Governor Aluel Garang Garang in a hotel when she is a resident of Kuac (Kuajok) and she has a home in Ajiep-Kuajok, that is against our family principles.”
Affectionately known as “Aluel Messi,” Aluel Garang was designated as the Deputy Governor of Warrap State through a presidential decree aired on the state-owned SSBC last month.
This incident adds another dimension to the already strained relationship between Aleul and Peter, which has seen its fair share of turbulence over the years.
